The Newry Highwayman email for mp3
(Vocal, Tymme "Teevus" Laun; Guitars, piano Mark)

This one is a classic folk tune, arranged and recorded with Tymme as the first in a series.

Ever notice how a lot of classic Irish and English folk tunes are essentially lo-tech Gangsta Rap with more melody? I mean, really-dude goes out robbin' to get the bling-bling for his lady friend, gets caught, and is now singin' about his lot on Death Row. Whiskey in the Jar is a similarly violent tale of thuggish bravado.

I think there's a wacky novelty record lurking somewhere within this concept.
